Why Not More Choices?

We are a relatively new farm, concentrating on producing a few varieties well. Trying to provide too many choices, too soon, would be not be in the best interest of our customers. We will add more varieties only if we can maintain our high standards of quality, in relation to demand. Contact us if there is a particular microgreen you want a lot of.

Advantages of buying greens alive in clamshells w/o soil:

image73

Harvest your living plants just before serving them

Why buy produce that has already been cut from its roots and sitting on a shelf for 3-4 days before serving it? Just cut your microgreens with scissors about 1/2" above the base of the stem when ready for use.

The foodsafe clamshell containers are stackable in your refrigerator

No need to store open trays of microgreens in your refrigerator or cooler room. Stacking the living greens in a refrigerator using food-safe clamshell containers is convenient.

There's no need to be concerned about soil in your kitchen

You don't want to be putting soil in your refrigerator, or your restaurant cooler room. Or bringing it into your kitchen. Also, the bio-based (corn starch) grow-pad can be recycled.

How To Keep Your Microgreens Alive And Fresh

Your microgreens will stay alive and fresh for 5+ days in your refrigerator or cooling room.

Do not spray the microgreens from the top. Doing so may cause water droplets to lodge between the stems, and this may lead to rot or mold. Water your microgreens from below by setting the clamshell container in a pan of 1/4" water for 4 seconds to allow the paper towel and the grow-pad to soak up water through holes in the bottom of the clamshell.

Doing this every 2-3 days is sufficient.

Keep your microgreens refrigerated until used.
