We purchase our seeds from True Leaf Market, a certified provider who sells only non-GMO (non-genetically modified) seeds. The Safe Seed Pledge certificate of True Leaf Market shown above is from their website.
In addition, we personally test all of the seeds for pathogens, through an application of food-grade hydrogen peroxide on all seeds.

This affidavit affirms that we do not use any chemicals, sprays or pesticides to guard against insects or rodents, but we use natural methods, such as applying a daily spritz of 100% distilled vinegar around the entry door frame, using a lemon grass oil mist diffuser, and having a high-frequency rodent and insect repeller turned on 24-7. We also have an air purifier with HEPA filter and carbon filter plugged in 24-7 to guard against airborne pollutants.
Each Viva-the-Greens! receipt has a unique Lot Code Number.
The Lot Code Number specifies the date of the microgreen planting and the specific tray in which the seeds were planted. For example, Lot Code Number "04181907" means the seeds were planted on April 18, 2019, in grow tray #7.
Each microgreen crop has a history of its daily care kept on electronic file according to the planting date. A copy of each receipt, showing who purchased the microgreens, is also kept on file for cross-referencing. This is done in accordance with guidelines provided by the Produce Safety Alliance.
